The heart of Elision is Optix™ reflector technology, which uses elliptical reflector shapes to provide unsurpassed optical control. A lamp placed
at one focal point of an elliptical reflector will emit rays of light that bounce off the reflector and converge at the other focal point to form a
"virtual lamp." While conventional wall wash products create hot spots near the luminaire with light levels rapidly tapering off down the wall, Elision's
"virtual lamp" is located some distance below the luminaire, moving the light down the wall where it's needed to create outstanding uniformity and vertical
illumination levels. This optical control allows Elision to use a single T5HO lamp to provide better performance and a more compact package than traditional
products using two T8 lamps. A high efficiency T5 lamp is also available for applications requiring less illumination or more energy savings.
This precise optical control is packaged in a luminaire with a sleek, architectural shape made possible by the single-lamp T5 cross-section. The housing consists
of a single aluminum extrusion for high quality and consistency. Day-Brite's matte white polyester finish is standard, and custom colors are available. An attractive
tapered mounting bracket is used to create the offset needed for that great illumination, and also acts as a spacious wiring box. The optional shroud conceals all
hardware for a smooth look in architectural locations. Both 2' and 4' Elision modules are offered for application flexibility, and continuous row mounting is
supported. The mounting system even allows a 2' module to be suspended between two 4' modules without an additional mounting bracket, further enhancing aesthetics.
The standard white baffle provides longitudinal shielding and features a contoured blade for a modern appearance. Perforated blades and finish options are available
for visual flexibility.
Elision's unique mounting system allows easy installation by a single person. The tapered mounting bracket will support the housing while the electrical connections
are completed, and a separate extruded aluminum support bracket is used to make the installation of the housing quick and simple. A hidden set screw secures the
housing to the support bracket for safety. Internal aligners are even included to insure perfect alignment for row applications. With a sleek and compact profile
